Mandagot is a protector, a little haughty, but strong-willed. She's a very reserved pokemon, even moreso after her original trainer's departure, but she's taken it upon herself to make sure that Byleth, one of Sylvain's favorite people, stays safe and happy. While her stern demeanor is at first very standoffish, she does a great job with Byleth's pokemon, mothering many of them and finally bringing the energy desperately needed to keep Cramorant fully in check. She refuses to do battle for Byleth until they've proven themself worthy of her power, and so spends most of her time babysitting the rest of the team and letting them try to chip away at her higher-leveled HP. She hasn't used a single move since Sylvain left, and it's hard to say when she will. She refuses to stay in a pokeball, insistent on being able to keep an eye out for Byleth and their pokemon at all times.
